Hi, could sombody advise me? I have two problems with my brand new model 335 and Curve Handler software.
Other Lakeshore sw work fine (Chart recorder, Instrument Communication Utility). Running Win10 64bit
First problem
- I have the 335 connected via USB. - Click "Test connection" button and get "Successfully connected to ...." pop-up - Then click "Connect" button and get "And unhandled exception occured..." and the sw shuts down.
Second problem is that the Curve handler tells me that calibration curves for my Cernox sensors I downloaded from Lakeshore are wrong format. There are no options to select from when downloding so it is bit confusing to me.
Thanks

Hello Fanx42, Based on the error you are seeing, I suspect the issue is due to the fact that you are in a country where the comma is used instead of a decimal point to separate numbers. If I am correct, I suggest you temporally change the regional options for your Windows software to use the decimal point as the separator. The setting to use will be United States English. If for some reason, that does not resolve the issue, I suggest you download and install the legacy version of curve handler found here: www.lakeshore.com/Documents/InstallCurveHandler.zipThis version will work for everything you need to do with your Model 335 Controller.

Hi,
I have a related problem:
My device is LakeShore 336 and I use curve handler v. 9.1.2.2 and my OS is Windows Pro 64bit
-connecting to the intrument via USB works
-uploading *.340 curve from file seems to work:
-writing to instrument executes
- Data points in instrument are corrupted, as shown when reloading the same curve from instrument
- same problem also happens when using the embedded curve handler via Ethernet TCP
Thanks

Did you check to see if your PC is configured to use the comma as the decimal separator as described above. What you are showing looks exactly like what will happen if you are using a comma as the decimal separator.

Hi,
I have a similar problem. Actually, my copmuter is by default working with USA number system, so I am correctly using decimal point. I can easily upload the calibration curve. When I try "advanced mode", when I try connection to the device is says that it was sucessfuly connected, but when I click "connect' it crashes: "An unhandled exception occured. The application must shut down."
Do you have any suggestions?
Best regards, B.

Hi! I believe we also corresponded over email and solved that issue by using our legacy version of the curve handler. This version can be downloaded here: Install Curve HandlerGreetings, Ogi K.
