Hello all I am trying to work with a 350 controller and TCP interface. I am able to ping the device and use the web interface as well. When I use my simple .c interface code to talk to it, it fails at the first step and is unable to open the port. I used port #7777. Is that correct? I have used my interface program to connect to other controllers ( non lakeshore) with no issues provided I had the correct port # and IP address.
Thanks

Greetings, yes, port 7777 is the correct port to use. The Ethernet system will allow 5 simultaneous connections so to make sure all 5 are not being used, I suggest you perform a reset to default values on the Model 350 that will clear any connections that were not properly closed. Once that is done, reconfigure the IP address if needed and then open a browser and see if you can open the embedded web page by connecting to the IP you have assigned to the 350. If that works, then there is something in your program that is not compatible with our Ethernet Firmware
